Muchas gracias to dear =Sashiko for putting together my new CSS and =SaNdRiNeChan for the cute chibi Gojyos! Right now I'm playing around with it a bit to make it more laziness-proof; TBH, I'd rather have my header and footer remember all the extra HTML I want to throw in my journal, and my header is completely random now.

So, screw what I said in my last journal, I'm really quite glad I attended my uncle's service. Nobody cried, but that was a good thing; it was a chance to think about happy things about him. My dad and I got ice cream shakes before heading to the party afterwards, at which I was cornered by his cousins and told all about the parts of the family I didn't know about. The food was awesome and meeting family was pretty fun, but at the end of the day I'm no party animal and was glad to get back to the place we're staying. >.<;

Yesterday we were working on cleaning out my uncle's house. Would you believe he used to write poetry just like I do? He'd write anything he thought up or needed to remember on a yellow index card, then threw 'em all over his computer table. Found a whole lot of old photos and even some things from when my dad was a kid, including some early math assignments. (Seriously, I can't even imagine a time when he would have confused three with four!)

Today Dad was out with his new buddy from British Columbia, which was fine with me because I had plenty of leftover appetizers from the party Saturday, plus my necessary electronics. I'd love an attic like this of my own someday, overlooking the sea with a bed and a desk; the computer would be newer, though, and I wouldn't leave stuff strewn all over the floor.

Tomorrow I'm going to go meet my cousins. As fun as that may seem, aggggggghhhh, I wish I had some way out of it. They're mostly my age and look vaguely like me, but have better skin and hair and jobs. Plus I really hate having to socialize when I'm not up for it.

Wednesday, probably, I'll be headed back home. I rather like being here though, surrounded by old-fashioned diners and ocean views and sleeping in an attic that is terrifying to climb up to. It's not my home, though, and like it or not I'm needed there. I can have a good cry about all that later.

Non sequitur: I love Ralts and everything it can turn into. So, so moe.

I guess I'm a mix of cheerful and anxious right now. I just want more lazy, happy days...but sadly, that's not what life's about at all.
